Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Carly always had an appreciation for the outdoors and staying active– playing sports, hiking, or just running around outside. In college Carly began working with a personal trainer and practicing yoga, where her desire to stay active grew into a love for strength training, conditioning, and a regular yoga practice. After college, she continued to pursue her own health and fitness goals while beginning a career in the corporate world. After living such an active life, the change to sitting at a desk for 9+ hours per day quickly took a toll on her body and mind, and she quickly decided she needed a career with more physical and mental stimulation.
Carly took the leap to enter the fitness world by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She started training and managing a private personal training studio in Seattle, where she developed a functional training style, incorporating mobility work into cardio-strength programs using free weights and body weight exercises. Wanting to delve more deeply into creating a well-rounded fitness routine for herself and her clients, Carly completed a 200-Hour Power Yoga Teacher Training and is now a Yoga Alliance Certified RYT200 Yoga Teacher, teaching Power/Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin/Restorative classes at several Seattle studios.
After taking her first Lagree Fitness class at Inspire’s Queen Anne studio in Spring 2014, Carly was hooked by the incredible combination of strength, conditioning, and intensity that the class provides in such a short workout. She immediately began the process to begin teaching, and has incorporated the method into her personal fitness routine. Carly is so honored and excited to encourage the Inspire community during their fitness journey!
